BJW Group Pty Ltd t/as Clear Power Advisory (“Clear Power”, “we”, “our”, “us”) provides independent solar and battery feasibility assessments for residential customers in Australia.

We are committed to protecting your personal information and handling it in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to provide our advisory services, including:
Personal Information

  • Full name

  • Address

  • Email address

  • Phone number

Energy & Technical Information

  • Electricity bills

  • National Metering Identifier (NMI)

  • Interval meter data

  • Solar PV system details (if applicable)

  • Tariff and retailer information

Transaction Information

  • Payment confirmation via Stripe
    (Note: We do not store credit card details.)

Authorisation Information

  • Signed Authority to Act forms

  • Communications with DNSPs (when authorised)

3. Why We Collect Your Information

We collect your information to:

  • Analyse your electricity usage

  • Model solar and battery performance

  • Estimate financial outcomes (savings, payback, IRR, etc.)

  • Obtain meter data from DNSPs when authorised

  • Generate your assessment report

  • Process payments

We do not sell your personal information.

4. How We Store & Protect Your Information

We use secure third-party platforms including:

  • Google Drive (document storage)

  • Airtable (CRM system)

  • Stripe (payment processing)

  • Fillout (form collection)

All platforms use encryption and secure data handling practices.
We:

  • Restrict access to authorised personnel only

  • Use two-factor authentication where available

  • Do not store credit card information

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no online system is completely secure.

5. Disclosure of Information

We may share information only where necessary, including:

  • Electricity network operators (DNSPs) when authorised

  • Payment processors (Stripe)

  • Technology service providers used to deliver our service

We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain customer reports and relevant records for up to 7 years for business and compliance purposes. Raw electricity interval data may be deleted after analysis is complete or within 24 months. Unsuccessful enquiry data may be deleted after 90 days.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first so we can resolve the issue. If unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on our website.

Clear Power provides independent modelling and advisory services relating to solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage systems.

We do not:

  • Sell solar systems

  • Install equipment

  • Act as an electricity retailer

  • Provide financial product advice

Our service provides modelling estimates based on available data and stated assumptions.

2. No Guarantee of Financial Outcomes

All modelling outputs, including:

  • Savings estimates

  • Payback periods

  • Internal Rate of Return (IRR)

  • Net Present Value (NPV)

  • Self-sufficiency percentages

are estimates only.

Actual results may vary due to:

  • Electricity price changes

  • Government rebate changes

  • Policy changes

  • System performance differences

  • Weather variation

  • Installation quality

Clear Power does not guarantee financial outcomes.

3. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Verifying installation quotes

  • Reviewing installer warranties

  • Confirming system specifications

  • Seeking independent financial advice where appropriate

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Clear Power’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the assessment service.

We are not liable for:

  • Installation decisions

  • Retail electricity pricing changes

  • Government policy changes

  • Performance of third-party equipment

5. Intellectual Property

All reports, models, and analysis remain the intellectual property of Clear Power.

Reports are provided for personal use only and may not be reproduced commercially without written consent.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

REFUND POLICY

Because each report requires manual analysis of electricity data:

  • Refunds are available if requested before analysis begins.

  • Once analysis has commenced, refunds are not available.
